How long does the journey on the Venice Simplon-Orient-Express take?
The duration of the journey varies depending on the chosen route. The classic trip between London and Venice lasts two days, with one night on board. Is there Wi-Fi on board?
Yes, Wi-Fi is available in all cabins. However, since the connection is provided via a mobile network, the signal may be intermittent in rural areas. To maintain the luxurious and exclusive atmosphere, we recommend limiting the use of electronic devices to your cabin.
What luggage can I bring?
For a comfortable experience, we recommend organizing your luggage as follows: Hand luggage: Essential items such as passports, tickets, medication, and electronic devices should remain with the passenger at all times. Cabin luggage: We suggest an overnight bag or a garment bag with necessary items for the trip. This luggage will be delivered to your cabin after check-in. Checked luggage: Larger suitcases will be stored in the luggage car and will not be accessible until the final destination. Sports equipment: Skis, golf clubs, or bicycles must be properly packed and notified in advance. If you have any doubts about luggage management, the Teovian team can advise you on the best options.
What currency is used on board?
Prices are quoted in euros. It is recommended to carry some cash, although major credit cards (Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Diners Club, and JCB) are accepted. The exchange rate is displayed in the Bar Car.
Do I need a passport or visa?
All passengers must ensure that their passport has at least 6 months of validity from the arrival date. For certain European countries, extra months on passports older than 10 years may not be valid. Should I tip the staff?
Tipping is optional and at the discretion of each passenger.
What should I wear?
The dress code is elegant and formal. For dinner, black tie or evening gowns are recommended. During the day, attire should be sophisticated, and for lunch, a jacket and tie or an equivalent is expected. Jeans are not allowed at any time.

Cabins have limited space. We recommend bringing one piece of hand luggage, one cabin bag, and one suitcase, which will be stored in the luggage car until the final destination.
Can I smoke on the train?
No. In compliance with European regulations, smoking is prohibited on board, including electronic cigarettes and vaping devices.
Can children travel on the train?
Yes, children are welcome. Babies under two years old travel for free, but parents must bring their own food and a bassinet. For greater comfort, we recommend booking interconnecting cabins or a Grand Suite.
Are pets allowed?
No. Due to limited space and infrequent stops, pets are not permitted on board.

The train has a centrally controlled cooling system. Passengers can regulate the airflow in their cabin using a ventilation grille.
Is there a laundry service?
There is no laundry or ironing service on board. We recommend using garment bags to avoid wrinkles.
How many people are required for a group discount?
A group is considered to be 14 or more passengers. Teovian can manage your group booking, guaranteeing you the best price and service.
What languages does the staff speak on board?
The stewards and service staff speak French, English, and Italian.
